The Condominium
You'll be staying in a one-bedroom condominium which is located
less than 100 feet from the beautiful, blue Pacific Ocean. The unit is
furnished as your own home in Hawaii, and it's in a different class
from most other rental condominiums. Art that highlights the history
and present day of the Kona Coast of Hawaii is found in every
room. The unit has Italian floor tile throughout, including on the
lanai.
You'll hear the gentle surf of the Pacific in every room of the
condominium - you're right next to the ocean!
Note: all of the pictures on this web site were taken inside this condo or from the
condo's lanai unless otherwise noted. What you see here is what you'll see when you stay
in the condo!
 
The living room is a great place to relax, and includes
 | A full audio-video entertainment system with surround sound, including a home theatre receiver, audiophile speakers, a 5-disc DVD/CD changer, a VHS hi-fi stereo VCR, and a 27" color television with cable. The entertainment system is in a fully enclosed cabinet so it is out of sight
when you're not using it. A list of radio stations, TV channels, and
provided videocassettes is available. |
| Comfortable, island-tropical style furniture including a sofa, a recliner, and an easy
chair. |
| A hide-away leaf-type dining table with four chairs, for inside dining. |
| Lithographs by noted Hawaiian artist-historian and author Herb Kawainui Kane grace
the living room walls. |
| A small desk is provided for your use, with conveniently-located power and telephone
wires. A high-speed Internet connection is
available at no extra charge. |
 
You'll enjoy spending time on the lanai that has

The beautiful, state-of-the-art kitchen is well-equipped for a snack

| Kenmore microwave oven and range hood. |
| General Electric combination washer-dryer. |
| Gourmet-quality cookware, plates, glasses, silverware, etc. |
| Small appliances include a blender for frozen tropical drinks, a toaster oven, and a
Krups coffeepot. |
| A pair of bar stools on the living room side of the kitchen counter for a quick bite, or
for sitting and talking to the chef! |
 
The bedroom is furnished with

| Elegant Pacific-island inspired dresser and nightstands. |
| Luxurious 500-thread-count bed sheets. |
| A large closet. |
| A small television (on cable) with built-in VCR. |
 
The bathroom has Spanish and Italian tile. Towels are provided for bath use. A separate set of full-size towels, beach towels, and straw mats are included for use outside the condominium.
There are air conditioners and ceiling fans in both the living room and the bedroom.
Telephones are located in the living room and bedroom; the kitchen has a cordless
telephone with digital answering machine.
This is a completely non-smoking unit. Smoking is prohibited within
the condominium, on the lanai, or in the entryway.
Kona Makai Condominium Complex
 The Kona Makai condominium complex is a very well
maintained, professionally staffed group of six buildings on Ali'i drive with
approximately 100 one and two-bedroom units. It is on the Kailua-Kona side of and just
next door to the Aston Royal Sea-Cliff hotel.
